(Montgomery Co., IL) — A Collinsville man is facing a long prison sentence after being convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend in Farmersville on Thanksgiving Day in 2021. A Montgomery County jury last Friday found Robert Tarr guilty of the murder of Leslie Reeves and critically injuring Christopher Smith. Tarr was indicted in 2022 by a grand jury on two counts of solicitation of murder for hire over allegations he plotted to kill Smith and a sheriff’s deputy investigating the murder case. That trial hasn’t started yet.
