State Representative Blaine Wilhour is challenging $35 million for migrant newcomers in Illinois.
In a late-night hearing this week in Springfield, Wilhour lead the questioning of the member of the Illinois State Board of Education as they were asking for more money in the next budget to deal with “newcomer” students in Illinois. Wilhour says he’s asking ISBE and the Governor to be honest about the fiscal impact of all the illegals coming into the state.
Wilhour is the ranking Republican member of the Appropriations-Elementary & Secondary Education Committee.
