Vandalia City Council makes intersection at 6th & Johnson a 4-way stop

The Vandalia City Council approved to make the intersection at 6th and Johnson Streets in downtown Vandalia a 4-way stop.

There was discussion of the intersection begin a dangerous one because of people driving too fast through the intersection.  Alderman Ken Hubler first brought up the issue and other shared similar comments.

The Vandalia City Council voted unanimously at their last meeting to make the intersection a 4 way stop going forward.  It will probably officially happen within the next week or so.
