We have a new poll question up at www.vandaliaradio.com
The new question asks your opinion on whether or not liquor should be sold at gas station convenience stores. At last week’s Vandalia City Council meeting, two gas station convenience stores–the 710 Veteran’s Avenue location next to Burger King and the location at Sunset Drive and Route 185–both officially applied for a liquor license. That meeting was the first reading, meaning that a decision would likely be made at Monday’s meeting. The poll asks whether your are for or against allowing a liquor license for gas station convenience stores.
Meanwhile, folks who voted in the poll on whether or not Vandalia Wal-Mart should sell liquor voted strongly in favor. There were a total of 1,269 votes cast with 868 voting Yes and 403 voting No.
