The Vandalia Statehouse will have a special program on Sunday afternoon to celebration Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.
Statehouse volunteer Rich Bauer will lead the program with an opening statement and Randy Duncan, who will portray Abraham Lincoln, will present the program “Lincoln’s time and work in the state legislature in Vandalia” with special attention on his opposition of the state legislature condemning the District of Columbia’s abolition of slavery and the formation of his position on slavery. The program will be at 2 pm on Sunday. It is a free event and refreshments will be provided following the presentation.
