Fayette County Sheriff Ronnie Stevens and Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray giving a quick update on roads—
Sheriff Stevens says that secondary roads are a sheet of ice. State highways are hit and miss this morning, meaning there are some slick spots. Sheriff Stevens says they have so far checked on 5 accidents/slide offs due to the freezing rain.
Chief Ray says that main city roads have slick spots and any untreated surface is ice. Chief Ray says it would be best for people to stay in.
