(Chicago, IL) — A judge is rescheduling the trial of former state senator William “Sam” McCann. The former gubernatorial candidate was indicted on federal wire fraud, money laundering and tax evasion charges. His trial will resume in February after the proceedings were continued yesterday when McCann asked to represent himself. The ex-politician is accused of misusing more than 200-thousand-dollars worth of campaign funds.
