The Vandalia City Council approved two board appointments at their meeting on Monday, but there was some question of potential conflict with one of the appointments.
Mayor Rick Gottman recommended Dennis Grubaugh for appointment to the Planning Commission and Michael Davis for appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Alderman Bob Bowen asked City Attorney Ryan Connor if there was any conflict of interest issue with appointing Grubaugh, a developer in the community, to the Planning Commission.
Mayor Rick Gottman pointed out that anything from the Planning Commission is coming back to the City Council.
Both appointments were approved at Monday’s meeting.
