(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is releasing harvest totals for the 2023 Illinois spring turkey season. More than 16-thousand wild turkeys were harvested this spring. That is more than last year, when just over 13-thousand were harvested. The top five counties for the 2023 harvest were Jo Daviess, Jefferson, Pike, Pope, and Randolph.
