Vandalia American Legion turning over museum items and Avenue of Flags to City of Vandalia

The City of Vandalia is acquiring a large amount of museum items and flags from the Vandalia American Legion.

During Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Mayor Rick Gottman informed the City Council of the items they will be receiving.

Mayor Gottman also added the City of Vandalia will be receiving the “Avenue of Flags” from the American Legion, as well.  Mayor Gottman told the Council it’s part of some major changes from the Legion.

As Mayor Gottman pointed out, the Vandalia American Legion is keeping their charter and are hopeful of finding a new, smaller location.
