A one vehicle accident in Fayette County on Tuesday afternoon led to 2 individuals being treated for injuries.
Illinois State Police reports indicate a vehicle being driven by 47 year old James Haas of Ramsey was traveling eastbound on County Road 2800 North near the intersection of 1500 East attempting to pass another vehicle. State Police reports say that Haas then lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway to the left and overturned. Both Haas and a passenger, 39 year old Amanda Haas of Ramsey, were transported to the hospital with what the State Police describe as non-life threatening injuries. State Police say that James Haas was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, No seatbelt and Possession of Open Alcohol by Driver.
