Illinois’ main manufacturers’ group is hoping state legislators produce and pass a package of incentives to help incentivize the electric vehicle industry in the state before the end of the week. Mark Denzler, president and CEO of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, said time is of the essence with lawmakers in Springfield through Thursday. That’s the final day of scheduled session for the year.

A taxpayer cost of the incentives isn’t yet known. Lawmakers are in session through Thursday.
