Both the City of St. Elmo and the Village of Ramsey will have contested races for mayor in the upcoming April 6 Consolidated Election.
In St. Elmo, incumbent Mayor H.L. “Ernie” Myers filed his petition to run for another term last week and will be opposed by Kimberly Baron who also filed her petition last week to run for Mayor. For Treasurer, longtime City Treasurer Mary Magnus has filed to run for another term. In the city’s Ward 1, Sandra Mace has filed her petition to run for re-election. In Ward 2, Kenny Gammons has filed to run for another term and for the unexpired 2-year term in Ward 2, Danielle Fontaine has filed to run for that seat. In Ward 3, Bob Wells has filed a petition to seek re-election.
For Brownstown Village Board, Village Trustees Bonnie Petersen, Billie Enlow, Ed Hall and Adam Larimer are up for election, with only Petersen and Enlow having both filed their petitions to seek re-election. Village President Ginny Wilbur is also up for election and has filed her petition to run for another term.
In the Village of Ramsey, Village President Chris Wall has filed to seek re-election and will be opposed by Alina Braning, a current village trustee who has filed to run for Village President. For Village Trustee, current trustees Julie Moreland and Steve Marley have both filed to run for re-election.
