Voter turnout for the November Election in Illinois reached nearly 73 percent. That’s the highest turnout for a Presidential Election since 1992 and remarkable since it was held in the midst of a pandemic says State Board of Elections Spokesperson Matt Dietrich.
The November 2020 Election set several records for the number registered, votes cast and mail-in ballots received. As for locally, Fayette County saw 10,169 vote out of 13,499 eligible voters for a voter turnout of 75%.
