Governor J.B. Pritzker’s laugh to a question about downstate Illinois is drawing some ire from State Representative Blaine Wilhour and others. During Thursday’s Q & A session with reporters after his daily briefing, Governor Pritzker was asked a question by a reporter that came from a different reporter. And, Governor Pritzker laughed before addressing the question.
State Representative Blaine Wilhour, sharing the video from State Representative Avery Bourne, responded with this response on his Facebook page.
“Governor Pritzker, we don’t really think it’s funny that you disregard us in favor of Chicago centric policies. Completely out of touch with legitimate downstate concerns. I guess all the talk about being “open” to a regional approach was just talk. Totally inappropriate for a Governor of ALL of Illinois.”
