(Tokyo, Japan) — The International Olympic Committee will decide on whether to hold the Tokyo Olympics over the next four weeks. The deadline was set yesterday after a meeting. Canada has already announced plans to not send athletes to the Olympics. Cancellation is not an option according to the IOC, but the Games could be postponed or held in a scaled-down fashion.

(Undated) — The NBA plans to pay its players through April 1st, but that could be it. There is a provision in the collective bargaining agreement that allows teams to withhold part of a players’ salary due to catastrophic circumstances. The team league will announce its official plans before April 15th, which is the next pay date.

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Jazz center Rudy Gobert spent part of his Sunday tweeting about symptoms of coronavirus. Gobert said he has lost his sense of smell and taste over the past few days. He is recovering after being the first NBA player confirmed to have the virus.

(Undated) — Major League Baseball is giving back to fans with the league shut down. Every game from the past two seasons can be streamed on MLB-dot-TV for free. The regular season isn’t expected to begin until May at the earliest.

(Foxborough, MA) — The New England Patriots are already adding options to replace quarterback Tom Brady. The Pats signed Brian Hoyer to a deal over the weekend, and he joins a QB room that also features Jarrett Stidham. Brady finalized a contract with the Buccaneers last week after 20 seasons with the Patriots.
