The 50th Annual Altamont Schuetzenfest is set for October 2nd and 3rd at the Effingham County Fairgrounds in Altamont. The festival will include German food, boune houses, a BB gun shoot, wine tasting by ForSee Vineyards & Winery, beer and wine garden, volleyball tournament, kickball tournament, consignment auction by Stuckemeyer Auctions and Robin Willey of Willey Pottery.

The annual King & Queen Coronation will be held on Saturday, October 3 at 8:00pm and musical entertainment will include German bands on Friday and Saturday in the Schuetzenfest Building, Mardi Belle on Friday night and Ryan Ideus & Feudin Hillbillys on Saturday.

Come out and celebrate 50 years of on the longest running German festivals in Illinois.
