Last month was the third wettest November on record in Illinois. November total statewide rainfall came in at 5.6 inches, which is more than 2 inches higher than average. State Climatologist Jim Angel says any concerns about slight drought conditions earlier this fall have been erased.
Last month was also the 10th warmest November on record in Illinois, with an average temperature of 46 degrees. Angel says December will likely be warmer than usual as well.
