(Booneville, AR) — The Arkansas Department of Agriculture says it removed a plant that a man grew with mystery seeds from China. Officials confirmed yesterday that the man from the Booneville area had planted the seeds before warnings were sent out advising against using them. Doyle Crenshaw told officials that the seeds arrived in a package claiming to be studded earrings, and the plant that grew had large white squash-type fruit and orange flowers. The Department of Agriculture is now studying the plant and says anyone who has received unsolicited seeds in the mail should not plant them, and to call them to come and pick them up.
