
Betty J. Hicks, 83, of Princeton, MO, formerly of Vandalia, passed away at 9:20 AM, Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Pearl II Eden for Elders in Princeton.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 19, 2020 at Crown Point Church, Vandalia with Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Visitation will be from 1 pm to 2 pm on Friday at the church. Betty Jane Hicks was born on December 24, 1936 in Liberty, KY, the daughter of James L. Robertson and Beulah Mae (Holbrook) Cohoon. She married Floyd E. Hicks Sr. in 1954; he preceded in death on December 30, 2001.
Betty formerly worked at Brown’s Shoe Factory, various restaurants, and was a Certified Nursing Assistant for several years. Later in life, she loved to craft and of course, play her BINGO. Betty was a member of Crown Point Church.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Hicks and special friend Patsy Tinker, Timothy “Timmy” Hicks, Terry Hicks and wife Sherry, Michael Hicks and wife Cyndi, Howard Hicks and wife Ashley, and Brian Robertson and wife Christy; daughters, Cheryl and husband Edward “Brian” Tedrick, Mary McNealy, Jennifer and husband Jason Hill, and Michelle and husband Richard Temples; brothers, Charles “Sam” Lovall and Robert “Bob” Lovall and wife Debbie; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Her parents; sons, Floyd “Butch” Hicks Jr. and Pat Hicks; daughter, Alma Torbeck; brother, Billy Robertson; and sisters, Josie Prewitt, Wilma Speed, and Janis Duff.
