(Chicago, IL) — Illinois’ governor wants insurance companies to pick-up the pace and pay businesses damaged by looters and vandals quicker. Governor JB Pritzker yesterday said insurance companies need to uphold their obligations. The governor says he is working with major insurance companies and the state’s Department of Insurance to get businesses damaged in riots across the state paid. He said insurance companies should side with policyholders when it comes to looting and vandalism claims.
