Ten years ago, Drew Baldridge was wrapping up his senior year at Patoka High School and now he’s finding a way to create special moments for many senior classes across the country as they deal with their final semester being upended. A phone call from his dad a few weeks ago got Baldridge thinking and led to the idea to host concerts for senior classes on the Zoom video conference platform.
When Baldridge was writing the lyrics to his song “Senior Year” last year, he says he did not imagine how it take on a new meaning for this year’s senior class.
So far, Baldridge has scheduled 40 shows and continues to get more requests each day.
Locally, Baldridge is scheduled to perform a Zoom concert for Vandalia High School’s senior class on Wednesday, May 13. We will have more from Baldridge coming up on Monday.
