The State Department of Public Health is confirming a second vaping related death in Illinois. A second person has died from what officials call “severe lung injury.” Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike says they still don’t know the exact cause.
Ezike says in more than 80 percent of the cases in Illinois, the person vaped a THC product. The Department is currently investigating 41 additional possible cases.
