(Belleville, IL) — Illinois officials have added two-hundred-acres of free farmland to their bid to lure a federal spy agency to a site near Scott Air Force Base. The new land is on top of the original offer of 182 acres in the Illinois bid for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency site, that will employ about three-thousand people. A decision from Washington is expected as soon as March.
