81 Cadets are graduating from the Illinois State Police Academy, and will hit the road as new Troopers all over the state. The cadets made it thru a grueling 25 week program in Springfield, that included physical challenges, classroom work and vehicle and firearms training. State Police Director Leo Schmitz told the graduating class they made an excellent choice.
The State Police is now accepting applications for cadet class 129, tentatively scheduled for next April. Forms must be turned in by Wednesday, August 15th. Visit www.illinoistrooper.com for more details.
