(Springfield, IL) — A Springfield woman and a California man are facing federal charges after investigators say they sold synthetic marijuana in Springfield. A federal grand jury yesterday indicted 71-year-old Letha Dean from Springfield and Abdul G. Alsamah from California for a conspiracy to possess and distribute synthetic cannabis. The indictment only covers sales between 2014 and 2016. The two face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
