The sentencing hearing for a Vandalia woman who pled guilty to injuring her son has been reset in Fayette County Court. 25-year old Aubree Hammer was set to be sentenced this morning following three previous sentencing hearing dates being vacated and reset. However, due to judge availability, the hearing has again been reset and will now be held on March 29 at 9am. Hammer entered an open plea of guilty on October 3, 2017 to one count of aggravated battery to a child under the age of 13 with great bodily harm or permanent disability following the injuring of her at that time 3 ½ month old son in early 2016. The charge of aggravated battery to a child under the age of 13 with great bodily harm or permanent disability is a Class X Felony and it is punishable by 6-30 years in prison.
