(Carbondale, IL) — The latest poll in the race for Illinois governor shows pretty much what you’d expect, the frontrunners in the race are in the lead. The poll of registered voters from the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University shows that Governor Bruce Rauner has a 20 point statewide lead on challenger Jeanne Ives. The poll also shows Democratic frontrunner J.B. Pritzker in the lead of the crowded Democratic field, though by just ten percent. The poll also shows Governor Rauner losing a head-to-head matchup with both Pritzker, and the Democratic second place candidate Dan Biss.
