(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois State Board of Education is looking for a ‘storyteller’ who can help push state lawmakers to spend more money on public schools. The State Board yesterday posted a job ad on its website for a 47 thousand-dollar-a-year ‘storyteller’ who can help craft media packages that ISBE says will relay the ‘amazing’ stories about public schools in the state. Three ‘storytellers’ will be hired. Lawmakers say they’d rather see the money spent directly on schools.
