The City of Vandalia will get started on their Comprehensive Plan on Monday. A work session is scheduled for 3 pm on Monday afternoon at City Hall. The council approved the hiring of PGAV of St. Louis during their second meeting of October. The plan, once completed, will lay out the city’s goals and initiatives for developing the community in the next several years. To help with the cost of completing the plan, the city received a grant in May 2017 in the amount of $15,000 from the Greater Gateway Association of Realtors. The amount received from the grant will cover anywhere from a third to a half of the possible cost of the comprehensive plan.
