We’ll see a brief warm up before winter returns in a fairly big way on Thursday night.
For today, we could see some light rain during the day today. Otherwise, we’ll see cloudy skies with a high of 54. It’ll be windy with gusts up to 30 miles per hour out of the south today. Tonight we have a chance of rain in the overnight hours with temperatures rising overnight to 59 by 5 am. For Thursday we’ll see rain with a high of 61. It will again be windy, with wind gusts on Thursday up to 30 miles per hour.
Thursday night is when the shift will happen. We’ll see rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet during the night on Thursday and into Friday morning. Temperatures will fall into the 20s on Thursday night. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says, as of this time, we are looking at new ice accumulation of less than 1/1oth of an inch possible and new snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
