(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals are stepping up to help out the flood-ravaged city of Houston. The team has pledged to match 10-thousand-dollar donations for hurricane relief by infielder Matt Carpenter for every home run he hits the rest of the season. Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright previously announced he would also match Carpenter’s donations. That means Carpenter’s home run on Tuesday night was actually good for $30,000 in donations–$10,000 each from Carpenter, Wainwright, and the Cardinals.
