(Chicago, IL) — Businesses in Illinois pay more in taxes than their counterparts in the state’s neighbors. A new report from the Anderson Economic Group, released yesterday, shows Illinois businesses send almost nine-and-a-half percent of their profits to government. That compares to seven-percent in Indiana and Missouri, and just under nine-percent in Wisconsin.
