Strong to severe storms are still a possibility for the area this evening. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says A cold front will continue to move southeastward through our area with scattered showers and thunderstorms along and ahead of this front. Isolated severe storms are possible this afternoon and early this evening mainly across east central and southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois. The primary threat will be large hail and damaging winds. Cooler temperatures can be expected tonight after the passage of the cold front with lows in the 40s.
