A Mulberry Grove man charged with three counts of domestic battery and a domestic violence charge will appear in Fayette County Court today. 28-year old Donnell White will appear at 11am this morning for a preliminary hearing as he is charged with one count of aggravated domestic battery as he is alleged to have “intentionally strangled” another member of his household which is a Class 2 felony. White is also charged with two counts of domestic battery for allegedly striking the first victim as well as second victim and is “extended term eligible after having been convicted of domestic battery” in a prior case in 2015. Those two counts are each Class 4 felonies. White is also charged with one count of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence as he is alleged to have attempted to prevent the victims of the domestic violence from making a report to police by allegedly taking their cell phones. The fourth count is a Class A Misdemeanor. Today’s hearing will also be a first appearance for White with an appointed public defender.
