(Chicago, IL) — A career criminal is still going to spend a few years in prison for stealing coins from a vending machine. He just won’t spend as much time behind bars. An appeals court this week cut Harley Busse’s 12-year sentence in half. Police arrested Busse for stealing 44-dollars from a vending machine in 2012. The judge says he handed down the original sentence to send a message. The appeals court says that sentence was way too harsh.
