Governor Bruce Rauner signed a new law Tuesday cracking down on gun trafficking in Illinois. The law increases the penalties for illegally buying firearms in other states and then selling them on the black market here. These guns are most often used to commit crimes says Illinois State Police Director Leo Schmitz.
Gun trafficking is especially a problem in Chicago, where 425 people have been shot and killed so far this year.
