A new Assistant State’s Attorney is joining the Fayette County State’s Attorney’s Office following the swearing in of Brenda Duke on Tuesday morning. Duke was sworn in by Judge Don Scheafor and says she is ready to get to work.
Speaking of the hire, State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison says he believes Duke and her experience will fit in well with the office.
Duke is a graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law and comes to Fayette County after serving as a litigant attorney with a law firm out of Decatur.
