The unemployment rate went up in all of the state’s 14 metro areas for the third month in a row. The jobless rate increased last month compared to year ago levels as more people continue to enter the workforce. State Department of Employment Security analyst Ron Payne says the good news is that 8 metro areas experienced job growth.
The biggest job were losses were seen in Bloomington, the Quad Cities, Peoria and the Carbondale-Marion area.
