Secretary of State Jesse White is unveiling a new driver’s license process. The charges are designed to boost security, prevent identity theft and meet federal real ID requirements. Under the new system, Secretary White says anyone renewing their license will not be handed an updated card right away.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has said the temporary paper licenses can be used for air travel. The new process will be established by the end of July.
