(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers are moving forward with a bill that would help pay for the state’s social services during the budget crisis. A House committee passed a measure that would provide around seven-hundred-million dollars in funding. Governor Rauner’s office hasn’t said he would sign off on the bill, saying he would rather focus on an overall spending plan.
