The pipeline work done by Enbridge through Fayette County may be complete but the company is still being a good partner and supporter of the City of Vandalia and Fayette County as they returned last Thursday to make two donations to local organizations. Cheryl Harvey of Enbridge was on hand to present the donations and says it is important to Enbridge to be good to the communities they work with during their projects.
The first check presentation made by Harvey was to Anita Gottman of the Vandalia Historical Society for $11,000 to help with window replacement and repairs at the Vandalia Statehouse. Also in attendance for the presentation was Vandalia Mayor Rick Gottman and also the area’s State Representative John Cavaletto who has been an avid supporter of the Statehouse.
The second check presentation made by Harvey was to Fayette County Board Chairman Jeff Beckman and Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator Kendra Craig to be used to replace scuba equipment stolen from the EMA shed within the last several months. And Beckman says the $2500 is a big help to the county and EMA
Fayette County Board member Dean Bernhardt was also on hand for the presentation.
