(Washington, DC) — Jake Allen stopped all 32 shots as the Blues blanked the Capitals, 4-0 at the Verizon Center. St. Louis scored three times in the second period and once in the third to secure its fourth straight shutout. The Blues have won 10 of their past 12 games and are tied with Dallas atop the Western Conference. Phillipp Grabauer allowed four goals on 29 shots in the loss for Washington. The Capitals would have clinched home ice in the playoffs with a win. The Blues set a franchise record with the fourth straight shutout and have not allowed a goal in the last 240 minutes and 18 seconds of play.
