We are looking at a major winter storm today around the area. The National Weather Service in St. Louis now has our area under a Winter Storm Warning until 6 pm as we are now expecting 4 to 8 inches of snow. While temperatures will stay above freezing, with temps holding steady in the mid 30s, we will see winds out of the north gusting up to 43 miles per hour and we also have a Wind Advisory in effect until 6 pm today. After the snow moves on it will remain blustery tonight with a low of 30 and wind gusts still better than 35 miles per hour. Whatever snow we get, however, won’t last all that long as we’ll see highs in the middle to upper 30s on Thursday and Friday and up in the lower 50s on Saturday.
