Illinois Democrats have completed a clean sweep of elections for statewide offices.
Incumbent Kwame Raoul is the projected winner of a third term as attorney general, by a lopsided margin over Republican Bob Fioretti.
Democrats congratulated Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias on his projected win over Republican Diane Harris.
Incumbent Treasurer Michael Frerichs declared victory over GOP candidate Max Solomon.
Margaret Croke won the election to be the state’s new comptroller, with a decision over Republican Bryan Drew.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker celebrated the wins.
“To every volunteer, every precinct captain and phone banker and canvasser, you vanquished the Illinois GOP, and you rebuilt the Democratic Party of Illinois,” Pritzker said.
