It will be a pretty nasty day and night around the area with strong winds, rains, potentially a thunderstorms and warmer conditions.
We will see rain and possibly a thunderstorms for today with a high of 75. Winds from the south will gust better than 30 miles per hour today. Then, rain and possibly a thunderstorm for tonight with a low of 54. Winds from the south will still be gusting 25 miles per hour tonight.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a strong storm system arrives today, bringing rain, a few storms, and blustery 30-40mph winds. There is also the possibility of an isolated strong to severe storm this afternoon, but it looks like that chance will 1. remain very low and, 2. will remain off to our west.
After today and tonight, cooler and more fall-like conditions will settle over the area for the remainder of the week.
