It is Election Day.
Folks throughout the country are voting today in what are called the “mid term” elections–the period between Presidential races. Every member of the U.S. House of Representatives and 1/3rd of the U.S. Senate will be up for election tonight around the country.
In Illinois, all of the statewide races are up for grabs today–including the race for Governor where Democrat Incumbent J.B. Pritzker is running for a third term and is challenged again by Republican Darren Bailey.
As for County wide races, they are up in today’s election but there are no challenged races.
Polls are open today from 6 am to 7 pm. We will have Election Night coverage—beginning about 8 pm—-on 107.1 FM WKRV and also on our website at www.vandaliaradio.com
