Election Day coming up on Tuesday—Early Voting still available for the next few days

Election Day is coming up on Tuesday.  And, there are still plenty of opportunities to either vote on Election Day or vote early.

This mid-term election sees pretty much everything on our local ballot being at the statewide level.  Republican Darren Bailey and his running mate, Aaron Del Mar, are challenging Democrat incumbent J.B. Pritzker and his new running mate, Christian Mitchell, in the Governor’s race.  Attorney General sees Democrat incumbent Kwame Raoul running for re-election against Republican challenger Robert Fioretti.  Although he will be running for Mayor of Chicago in the spring of 2027, Democratic Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias is running for re-election and is challenged by Republican Diane Harris.  Comptroller Susana Mendoza is not running for another term, which now pits Republican Bryan Drew and Democrat Margaret Croke in a race for the open seat.  For State Treasurer, Democrat Michael Frerichs is running for another term and is challenged by Republican Max Solomon.

In Fayette County, early voting is available today, tomorrow and Monday at the Fayette County Courthouse from 8 am to 4 pm.  Early voting will also be available this Saturday from 8 am to noon.  And, you can of course vote at your polling place on Election Day Tuesday from 6 am to 7 pm.
