Our run of heat may finally be coming to an end.
We do have one more day to go as we’ll see sunny skies with a high of 94 today. Then, increasing clouds for tonight with a low of 71. Rain then comes into the forecast on Wednesday with showers and storms and we would see some heavy rain with a high of 81. It will be much the same for Thursday before fall weather finally arrives to the area on Friday as we’ll see partly sunny skies, breezy and a high of just 63.
Meanwhile, there could be a strong to severe storm late tonight or early Wednesday morning. In their latest weather briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says thunderstorms are expected to develop late tonight/Wednesday over parts of the region. There is a low chance of a few strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds. And, these thunderstorms will also be capable of locally heavy rainfall.
