Meanwhile, the rain will be with us starting on Thursday night and continuing during the morning hours on Friday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says widespread rain will overspread the area from late tonight through Thursday and continue into Friday morning across the area. 1 to 2 inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts are possible, with the greatest amounts over parts of central and northeast Missouri and west central Illinois.
